ABOUT ME
Education
I am a Geoscience Student, currently in my Senior Year of study at Mansfield University in Mansfield, Pennsylvania. I am working towards the completeion of my BS: Geography, with focuses in Environmental Science, and Mapping Technology. I am also working towards completing a minor in Geology.
Experience
I have worked on multiple projects during my studies at Mansfield University. I spent the summer of 2014 working on a project mapping out the Carolina Bays in coastal North Carolina for morphometric analysis in an attempt to identify possible origins of the bays.
During the summer of 2015, I worked together with one of my professors, Andy Shears, to create and set up a Cemetery Mapping project for Tioga County, Pennsylvania. We developed and field tested a database for use with ESRI's Collector App for smart phones to collect cemetery and grave site data. The data collected is going into a database and being used to create a multifaceted web map application that links to each cemetery and provides a searchable database for families to located loved ones buried in the county. This project is ongoing and and updates will be posted on my blog as they become available.
